Five of the seven test bed programmes announced in January are funded direct by NHS England.

The remaining two are ‘IoT’ or internet of things test beds, which are funded by the Department of Health through Innovate UK. Diabetes Digital Coach is one of these IoT test beds.

The IoT test beds are part of IoTUK, an integrated £40 million, three-year Government programme that seeks to advance the UK’s global leadership in IoT and increase the adoption of high quality IoT technologies and services throughout businesses and the public sector.
